It’s safe to say that a thorn only build is very unlikely to be viable viable without some sort of cheesy mechanic to make it work. I’m sure there’s some multipliers that works like the Revenge glyph I would assume might works as a 1.1 multiplier but even then it would still be a pathetically low number considering people with the kind of gear that this would require are doing in the millions of damage. ~50k thorn * (1 (yourself) + 7 (warriors) * 0.55 + 5 * 0.45 (mages) + 1 * 0.65 (golem)) for a total of 387 500 damage to an enemy that hits all of your summons plus yourself. I’ve seen up to almost 1k thorn on those pieces so getting ALL of the thorn stuff you can get and then stacking intelligence to multiply it, being generous and assuming 2k intelligence using paragon and % intelligence rolls on gear, we’re looking at triple damage for thorns, meaning maybe 50k thorn damage.Īssuming we’re using skele warrior legendary aspect in neck for 3 more warriors, skele mage aspect somewhere else for 2 more mages, using the second upgrade for bone golem to have 50% thorn and second upgrade for defender skeletal warriors to have 40%, making it 65% for golem, 55% for warriors and 45% for mages after affixes. You can get straight thorn on shield, amulet, pants and chest (Although you’d be using Razorplate for that slot) Rambling on about thorns, you can skip this section You can get up to something like 15% thorn to each of your minions if you get perfect rolls for it on both your rings plus pants for golem, helm for mages and gloves for warriors. There’s a unique chest piece called Razorplate that can give up to something like 12k thorn (and it’s the only stat on it) at item level 800 or so (which is basically end game gear) As a thought exercise… Stuff that boost thorn
